Work samples
The data I work with is nearly always covered by strict data sharing agreements or government regulations, which prevents me from sharing it publicly. The link below will show you a work sample in which I created a model which can predict heart disease in patients using a publicly available data set. The ethos
I've always partnered with non-profit organizations who make it their mission to improve the communities in which they live and work. I'd venture a guess that nearly all the data science resource goes to big companies making big money. I prefer to work with folks who consider data rights to be human rights, strive for a more equitable world, and support democratizing data science.

About me
Hi there! I'm John Erdmann, M.S., sole operator of Data Science Savvy LLC and professional data geek. I'm the lead analyst at the Behavioral Health Improvement Institute at Keene State College where we've improved behavioral health practice outcomes using program evaluation and data science for more than a decade. I enjoy the work so much that I decided to start Data Science Savvy to find even more opportunities to ply the trade, particularly in my home state of Massachusetts. I'm also the author of the 'qbr' package for the R programming language available on CRAN and Github. When I'm not writing code or assembling data dashboards, you can find me toiling away in my veggie garden with my dog Pharah.
